Siphonic Operative
NSS are looking to recruit a Siphonic Support Operative in our Maintenance Division.
Siphonic drainage is a system used to drain rainwater quickly from large roofs.
About the role:
Working in teams on reactive & planned maintenance jobs lead by a Siphonic Supervisor working daily at height safety.
You will be working on traditional & industrial roofing maintenance, as well as cladding, guttering repairs & replacement.
Carry out repairs to existing siphonic systems, e.g. cutting out & replacing blocked pipework, changing flex seal couplers to electrofusion sleeves. General repair work to inadequate systems (i.e., replacement/additional bracketry). Installation of new ‘supplementary’ secondary systems/overflow ‘spitters’ to out of date projects to bring the overall rainwater protection in line with the current British standards. General service, unlocking and problem detection of Siphonic Rainwater systems.
What we are looking for:
Someone who will be flexible with working hours, early starts & late finishes dependant on workload, some weekends & willing to work away Mon- Fri, Availability to be on call on a rota basis.
Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points)

- IPAF (1B, 3A, EB)
- Roofing
- CSCS labourer or skilled worker
- PASMA
- First Aider
- NVQ Slating & tiling, sheeting & cladding
- Silka ;- Single ply/Liquids
- Liquid waterproofing

Our national coverage operates from four UK depots to offer planned and reactive building fabric maintenance and refurbishment services to commercial, retail and industrial sectors. We currently employee 650 employees directly across the NSS Group and own a fully serviced truck mounted access fleet, which we use in house for reactive and planned maintenance and cleaning requests
