Siphonics Support Operative at The NSS Group
Part of NSS Maintenance
The Role:
We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Support Operative to join our specialist Siphonic Drainage Team. You’ll be working closely with experienced supervisors on planned and reactive maintenance across the UK. No leadership required – just a great attitude, willingness to learn, and a team-first approach.
What You’ll Do:
- Support supervisors on jobs involving siphonic roof drainage systems
- Assist with maintenance and repairs on roofs, cladding, and gutters
- Help replace pipework and fittings, install brackets, and upgrade systems
- Work safely at height as part of a close-knit, trained team
- Travel for jobs, sometimes staying overnight (Mon–Fri)
What You’ll Need:
- A full UK driving licence (max 6 points)
- Flexibility for early starts, late finishes, and occasional weekends
- A team-player mindset, ready to learn and grow
Nice to Have (but not essential):
- Experience with siphonic drainage, roofing or cladding
- IPAF, CSCS, PASMA, or First Aid qualifications
- NVQs in roofing or similar trades

NSS Maintenance are a working at height contractor working throughout UK, servicing facilities management clients and the refurbishment industry alike.
Our national coverage operates from four UK depots to offer planned and reactive building fabric maintenance and refurbishment services to commercial, retail and industrial sectors. We currently employee 650 employees directly across the NSS Group and own a fully serviced truck mounted access fleet, which we use in house for reactive and planned maintenance and cleaning requests
